## Synopsis

Impure (2018-present) is a Brazilian crime drama series created by Alexandre Fraga for Fox Premium Series and Fox Brasil, later streaming on Disney+ and Star+. Set in 1990s Rio de Janeiro, it follows Evandro do Dendê (Raphael Logam), a would-be businessman who drifts into the drug trade and builds a criminal empire from the ground up. Opposing him is Victor Morello (Rui Ricardo Diaz), a federal police officer whose self-destructive streak makes him a relentless hunter who sees Evandro as a worthy enemy. Their rivalry drives the series: each man is a strategist who shares a love for danger, and every season tightens the hunt as the organization grows and pressure mounts. Supporting characters including Arlete (Cyria Coentro), Gilmar (Leandro Firmino) and Bruninho Bagdá (Rocco Pitanga) orbit the power struggle, giving the story its texture of loyalty and betrayal. Running for six seasons and sixty episodes of about fifty minutes each, it is a serialized, continuing saga whose episodes build momentum toward a longer confrontation. The tone is tense, gritty and morally corrosive, with favela streets, backroom negotiations and police operations rendered with an intense, adult register. Fans of Narcos, Breaking Bad and Tropa de Elite will find resonance in its portrait of ambition, violence and the cost of power.
