## Synopsis

The Hook Up Plan (2018-2022) is a French romantic comedy series created by Noémie Saglio, Julien Teisseire and Chris Lang for Netflix. Zita Hanrot plays Elsa, a perpetually single Parisian whose friends hatch a misguided scheme to rebuild her confidence by hiring a male escort. Sabrina Ouazani as Charlotte and Joséphine Draï as Emilie round out the close circle of friends, while Marc Ruchmann plays Jules, whose double identity as Julio adds comic complication. The engine of the show is simple and mischievous: each season tests whether a well-meaning plan can survive the awkward, flirtatious and often messy realities of dating in contemporary Paris. Its episodes are short, breezy and built around schemes, misunderstandings and the loyalty of friends who cannot leave well enough alone. Across three seasons of twenty half-hour episodes, the series keeps a warm, cheeky tone with an undercurrent of genuine affection. Its mood is cozy and playful rather than cynical, with a romantic heart that suits viewers who enjoy the friends-meddling comedy of shows like Sex and the City and Friends. Set in present-day Paris, it offers a sunny, urban backdrop of cafés and apartments for lighthearted romantic entanglements.
