## Synopsis

Amar a Muerte (2018-2019) is a Mexican telenovela produced by W Studios for Televisa and broadcast on Las Estrellas, adapted from the Colombian telenovela En Cuerpo Ajeno and created by Leonardo Padrón and Julio Jiménez. Its premise follows three people whose souls are mysteriously reincarnated into different bodies after their deaths. Lucía Borges, played by Angelique Boyer, anchors the central romantic and emotional storyline, while Michel Brown appears in the dual roles of Macario 'El Chino' Valdés and Jacobo Reyes, and Alejandro Nones plays Johny Corona. The engine of the series is the struggle of these characters to adjust to unfamiliar identities while confronting love, revenge, and secrets that have been buried for years within their families. Told across a single season of ninety hour-long episodes, the show moves through heightened confrontations, reversals of fortune, and intimate family reckonings. It is a traditional soap structure, delivered with the operatic melodrama and emotional intensity of Latin American television. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea, La reina del sur and Cuando seas mía will find resonance in its blend of romance, betrayal and sweeping emotional stakes.
