## Synopsis

Our Planet (2019-2023) is a British natural history docuseries created for Netflix and produced by Silverback Films and WWF-UK. Narrated throughout by David Attenborough, the two-season series spans twelve episodes that travel from polar ice to tropical forests, following animals as they adapt, migrate, hunt, and raise their young. Rather than a single protagonist, the engine is the natural world itself: each episode builds around a habitat and a set of creatures, then shows how shifting temperatures, vanishing ice, and disrupted food chains push those lives toward strain. The format is case-free and episodic, with each hour a self-contained portrait joined by a shared environmental argument. Tone is awe-filled and reflective, with Attenborough's measured narration balancing wonder against urgency, and the large-format photography gives the wildlife a cinematic sweep. Viewers searching for a family-friendly nature show, a wildlife docuseries with a conservation message, or something in the vein of Planet Earth and Blue Planet II will find much of the same grandeur here, with a clearer focus on climate change and its effect on the animal world.
