## Synopsis

Treadstone (2019) is a American espionage thriller series created by Tim Kring for USA Network. Set in the present-day United States and beyond, it spins out of the Treadstone program that produced super spy Jason Bourne, turning its attention to a new protocol meant to build unstoppable superhuman assassins. Jeremy Irvine plays J. Randolph Bentley, with Brian J. Smith as Doug McKenna, Omar Metwally as Matt Edwards, and Han Hyo-joo as SoYun Pak, a cast whose characters are pulled between loyalty, secrecy and the men who engineered them. The engine of the series is a cat-and-mouse game in which operatives try to outrun the institution that made them while uncovering what the program intends to do with its creations. Each episode moves briskly through clandestine meetings, covert operations and betrayals, with action sequences grounded in the grit of the spy world. Across a single ten-episode season, the story unfolds as one continuing arc rather than standalone cases. Fans of The Bourne Identity, Alias and 24 will find resonance in its paranoid tone, its global reach and its dark, conspiratorial atmosphere. The result is a tense, violent and morally murky thriller that keeps asking who is really in control.
