## Synopsis

Hache (2019-2021) is a Spanish crime drama series created by Verónica Fernández for Netflix. Adriana Ugarte plays Helena, who gains the trust and love of a dangerous heroin cartel leader in Barcelona, Eduardo Noriega plays the cartel figure Alejandro Vinuesa, and Javier Rey plays Malpica, a figure tied to the trafficking world. Her engine is patient, dangerous calculation: every intimacy and every favor becomes a step toward quietly learning the business well enough to seize the empire herself. Across two seasons and fourteen episodes of roughly forty-six minutes each, the show builds its tension from close calls, shifting loyalties and the constant risk of exposure rather than from a case-of-the-week structure. Its register is tense, sensual and morally compromised, with a grimy, nocturnal Barcelona atmosphere in which drug money and personal desire blur. Viewers who admire the steely protagonist of Breaking Bad, the cartel politics of Narcos and the dark family power plays of Gomorra will find a kindred appetite for ambition and survival here. The series was canceled after its second season, leaving its central storyline open.
