## Synopsis

The Final Table (2018) is a US reality cooking competition series for Netflix, a single-season run of ten roughly 55-minute episodes that was later canceled. Teams of chefs are put under pressure as they try to impress some of the world's toughest palates, cooking iconic dishes drawn from many different nations. Andrew Knowlton hosts the proceedings, and each episode brings in a rotating panel of celebrity tasters including Gary Lineker, Cat Deeley, Jay Rayner and Martha Higareda, whose verdicts decide who advances. The engine is simple and competitive: each team must master unfamiliar national cuisines within tight time limits, and every episode is built from timed cooking challenges, tense plating moments and blunt judging. The show is structured as a standalone competition that moves briskly from one dish to the next, with a glossy, fast-paced energy. Its tone is upbeat and competitive rather than dark, and it will appeal to viewers who enjoy culinary contests in the vein of MasterChef and Top Chef, as well as fans of food-focused international reality formats looking for a lively, bite-sized watch.
