## Synopsis

Jett (2019) is a American crime drama created by Sebastian Gutierrez for Cinemax. Carla Gugino stars as Daisy Jett Kowalski, a world-class thief fresh out of prison who is pulled back into the criminal underworld by dangerous and eccentric criminals determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. Elena Anaya plays María, and Michael Aronov plays Jack Jackie Dillon, both part of the shifting circle of dangerous associates who surround her. Giancarlo Esposito plays Charlie Baudelaire, adding a menacing presence to the criminal world. The engine of the series is Jett's struggle to stay one step ahead of clients who hold her freedom in their hands, with each episode built around a new job, a new double cross, and the constant risk of being caught. Across a single nine-episode season of roughly sixty-minute installments, the show plays as a serialized caper with an adult, gritty edge. Its tone is tense and stylish, with a lean, propulsive rhythm and a focus on craft and nerve. Fans of Leverage, Alias, and Nikita will find resonance in its skilled female lead, its moral ambiguity, and its high-stakes criminal games set in the modern United States.
