## Synopsis

My Strange Hero (2018-2019) is a South Korean school revenge drama and romantic mystery created for SBS. Yoo Seung-ho plays Kang Bok-Soo, a grown man who was falsely accused of violence as a high school student and expelled after his first love, Son Soo-Jung (Cho Bo-ah), and a classmate, Oh Se-Ho (Kwak Dong-yeon), turned against him. Now back in his old life and failing at everything, he re-enrolls at the same high school, posing as a student to get even with the two people who ruined him. The engine of the series is that gap between grudge and desire: he wants payback, but the school has changed around him and he keeps getting pulled into unexpected cases that entangle his plans with the lives of teenagers. Each episode mixes classroom comedy, sharp confrontations, and small investigations, while a lingering first love keeps the revenge plot emotionally tangled. Its tone is breezy and sardonic with a wistful undercurrent, the kind of light, bittersweet korean television that suits viewers who enjoy wounded heroes, school settings, and romance threaded through a grudge. Fans of The Glory and Sky Castle will find resonance in its revenge-driven narrative and glossy school drama. A single-season run of thirty-two episodes, it is a compact, easy-to-follow watch.
