## Synopsis

Animaniacs (1993-1998) is an American animated sketch comedy series created for The WB and Fox Kids, produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Entertainment. Yakko and Wakko Warner, voiced by Rob Paulsen and Jess Harnell, and their sister Dot, voiced by Tress MacNeille, are supposedly 1930s cartoon stars who were locked in a studio water tower and escaped into the 1990s. Their engine is simple and anarchic: they wander studio lots and the wider world causing chaos, pursuing mischief, and tangling with rivals and authority figures. Maurice LaMarche voices the scheming Brain, and Sherri Stoner voices Slappy Squirrel. Each seven-minute episode stacks several short vignettes, parodies, songs and gags into a fast, self-aware package that breaks the fourth wall constantly. The tone is breezy, zany and irreverent, with sharp pop culture satire and wordplay. Across five seasons of 275 episodes the format stays consistent, letting viewers dip in at any point. Fans of Tiny Toons Adventures, Pinky and the Brain and Looney Tunes will find the same anarchic energy here. It remains a classic family-friendly cartoon for kids and adults alike.
