## Synopsis

Crazy about you (2018-2019) is a Colombian telenovela comedy-drama created by Carlos Fernández de Soto and Ana Fernanda Martínez for Caracol TV. Two friends, Camilo Arango (Variel Sánchez) and Juancho Argote (Sebastián Carvajal), play in maestro Guzmán's orchestra and dream of becoming the most recognized musicians in the tropical genre. Their long, scrappy climb toward that goal is complicated by Daniela Botero Vélez (Mariana Gómez), a woman from a wealthy family who wants fame and music of her own. She must hide her orchestra life from her family, while Camilo and Juancho remain unaware of her high social class. As both men fall for her, their friendship and their ambitions begin to pull against each other, and the romance becomes the engine of nearly every episode. The eighty-episode run is a single serialized story with a steady rhythm of rehearsals, bandstand performances, family intrigue and romantic rivalry. Supporting players including Estela Rendón (María Camila Giraldo) add warmth and comic counterpoint. The tone is melodramatic yet playful, with bright music and sentimental turns in the manner of a classic telenovela. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea and Pasión de gavilanes will find familiar pleasures in its romantic tangles, class-crossing longing, and lush Colombian musical atmosphere.
