## Synopsis

Un gancho al corazón (2007) is a Mexican telenovela with an original story by Adrián Suar, produced by Televisa for Las Estrellas and adapted from the Argentine daily comedy Sos mi vida. Its 220-episode run centers on Monita (Danna García), whose romantic life is tangled with Mauricio (Sebastián Rulli), while Nieves Ochoa (Ana Martín) and Gabriela Palacios (Eugenia Cauduro) add family pressure and loyalty to the storylines. Laisha Wilkins plays Constanza, a character drawn into the central romance, and Raúl Araiza and Otto Sirgo supply further entanglements. Each installment builds on confessions, misunderstandings, and shifting alliances as the couples try to find their way to one another. The result is a single-season, serialized soap told in daily chapters, warm and sentimental with a playful comic streak. Its tone is lighthearted and romantic, grounded in contemporary Mexican life. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea, Pasión de gavilanes and Ugly Betty will find the same blend of romance, rivalry, and heartfelt melodrama.
