## Synopsis

Besa (2018-2021) is a Serbian crime drama series created by Dušan Lazarević. Built around the Albanian code of besa, a sacred promise that must be kept even at the cost of life, the show follows characters caught in the machinery of blood feuds. Radivoje Bukvić plays Uroš Perić, whose life becomes entangled with Arben Bajraktaraj as Dardan Beriša, while Miloš Timotijević as Petrit Koci and Lana Barić as Marija Perić add pressure from opposing sides. Hana Selimović as Divna Dukić and Milica Gojković as Una Perić widen the circle of family obligation. The engine is simple and brutal: each character must weigh a vow against the danger it invites, and every episode tightens the grip of retribution. Across two seasons and twenty-two episodes of serialized storytelling, the drama moves through tense negotiations, violent confrontations and prison-set pressure. Its mood is bleak, grave and morally heavy, with a grounded, gritty realism. Fans of Peaky Blinders and Gomorrah will find resonance in its clan loyalties, criminal hierarchies and the high price of keeping one's word.
