## Synopsis

WandaVision is an American science fiction superhero miniseries created by Jac Schaeffer for Disney+, a Marvel Studios production spanning nine episodes. Elizabeth Olsen plays Wanda Maximoff, a powerful witch who lives with her synthetic husband Vision (Paul Bettany) in a picture-perfect suburban town that seems to have stepped out of a black and white sitcom. Kathryn Hahn plays Agnes, the friendly neighbor whose cheerful manners hide more than they reveal, while Teyonah Parris and Randall Park appear as outsiders trying to make sense of the strange pattern around them. The engine of the series is a quiet unease: each episode reconstructs a different decade of television comedy, complete with laugh tracks, matching sets and period fashion, while small cracks in the cheerful surface push the mystery forward. Its tone is wistful and uncanny, blending nostalgic comfort with dread and grief, and its theme lingers on what loss does to a person who refuses to let go. Fans of Pushing Daisies, The Umbrella Academy and The Leftovers will find resonance in its mix of whimsy, melancholy and reality-bending mystery. The single season moves through sitcom homage toward a larger superhero story that rewards close attention.
