## Synopsis

Ties of Shooting Stars is a Japanese television drama adapted from a novel by mystery writer Keigo Higashino and broadcast by TBS. Three siblings whose parents were murdered long ago have sworn, under a shooting star, to avenge them. Kazunari Ninomiya, Ryo Nishikido and Erika Toda play the Ariake siblings, with Tomokazu Miura, Akira Emoto and Susumu Terajima in supporting roles. Across a single season, the brothers track the people they believe responsible, and each step pulls them further from the bond they were meant to protect. The story moves through flashbacks that peel back the past in measured layers, with quiet reversals rather than constant action. The mood is melancholic and emotionally weighted, with a restrained, character-driven pace. Its blend of crime investigation, grief and sibling loyalty, set in contemporary Japan, will appeal to viewers who enjoy slow-burn mysteries that focus on family and moral cost.
