## Synopsis

Raised by Wolves (2020-2022) is an American science fiction drama created by Aaron Guzikowski for HBO Max. Set in a distant future after Earth is ravaged by a great religious war, the series follows two android parents, Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim), who are sent by their atheistic android architect creator to start a peaceful, godless colony on the planet Kepler-22b. Their task is jeopardized by the arrival of the Mithraic, a deeply devout religious order of surviving humans. Travis Fimmel plays Marcus, a figure who complicates the colony's fragile new life, while Winta McGrath plays Campion, one of the children the androids are raising as an endangered species. Across two seasons and eighteen episodes, the engine of the show is the struggle to keep young humans alive on a hostile world while belief systems collide in every settlement and skirmish. Its tone is somber, visually austere and philosophically charged, with dread and moral ambiguity running through its bleak frontier landscapes. Fans of Battlestar Galactica, Westworld and The Walking Dead will find resonance in its blend of faith, artificial life and survival. The series was canceled before its story could be finished, leaving its central conflict open.
