## Synopsis

Ultramarine Magmell (2019-2019) is a Japanese anime series adapted from a manga and broadcast on TOKYO MX as a single thirteen-episode season. When a new continent suddenly appears in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, filled with unfamiliar plants, creatures and minerals, humanity is swept into a renewed age of exploration. The story follows Zero (Mao Ichimichi), alongside Inyou (Kengo Kawanishi), Emilia (Hibiku Yamamura) and Shuuin (Toshiyuki Morikawa), as they move through this unknown landscape, where each episode revolves around a new discovery, a risky wildlife encounter or a natural resource worth chasing. The mood is adventurous and wondrous, with a current of disaster and unease running beneath the excitement of every expedition. Its fascination with the unknown and its sense of a frontier resembles the discovery-driven wonder of Made in Abyss and the otherworldly natural beauty of Land of the Lustrous, with a faint echo of the mysterious landmass lore of Lost. Fans of shounen adventure and exploration stories will find a clear fit here, especially those drawn to strange ecosystems and the thrill of the uncharted.
