## Synopsis

Space Force (2020-2022) is a United States streaming workplace comedy created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell for Netflix. Steve Carell plays General Mark R. Naird, a four-star general who begrudgingly teams up with an eccentric scientist, Dr. Adrian Mallory, played by John Malkovich, to get the newly formed U.S. military branch ready for lift-off. Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, and Jimmy O. Yang round out the principal cast as staff members who wrangle budgets, egos, and bureaucratic absurdity at the agency's base. The engine of the show is the gap between grand ambition and petty institutional reality, with each episode built from small administrative crises, rivalries, and awkward personal dynamics. Across two seasons and seventeen episodes, the series stays a sharp-edged, mostly light satire set in present-day American military and government offices. Its tone is deadpan and irreverent, with occasional bursts of genuine laughter amid uneven writing. Fans of The Office, Veep and Dr. Strangelove will recognize its mix of workplace humor and institutional mockery. The show was canceled after its second season.
