## Synopsis

Pearson (2019) is a United States network legal and political drama created by Aaron Korsh and Daniel Arkin for USA Network, and a spin-off of the Suits franchise. Gina Torres plays Jessica Pearson, a powerhouse lawyer who must adjust to the dirty world of Chicago politics after leaving the comfort of her old New York legal circle. Her principal circle includes Keri Allen (Bethany Joy Lenz), Nick D'Amato (Simon Kassianides), and Derrick Mayes (Eli Goree), whose professional and personal loyalties are tested as they navigate city hall maneuvering, rival factions, and favors traded behind closed doors. Each episode of this single ten-episode season builds around a fresh political crisis, a legal battle or a fight for influence, with Pearson's ambition pushing against institutions that reward discretion over honesty. The tone is glossy and fast-talking, with sharp dialogue and a sense of power plays unfolding in boardrooms and campaign offices. Fans of Suits, The Good Wife and Scandal will find resonance in its blend of courtroom sparring, political intrigue and ambitious professionals working in a city where every alliance has a price. The series was canceled after its first season, leaving its story unfinished.
