## Synopsis

Upload (2020-2025) is an American near future science fiction comedy created by Greg Daniels for Prime Video. Set in 2033, it follows Nora Antony (Andy Allo), a cash-strapped Brooklyn woman who works customer service for Lakeview, a luxurious virtual reality afterlife hotel where people near death can be uploaded. Her life collides with Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), a party-loving Los Angeles coder whose girlfriend permanently uploads him after a self-driving car crash, leaving him stranded in a digital resort he never chose. Nora must navigate his demands, the bureaucratic indifference of the company, and the awkward intimacy of a relationship conducted across the boundary between life and death. Supporting characters including Ingrid Kannerman (Allegra Edwards) and Aleesha (Zainab Johnson) add workplace friction and corporate intrigue. Each season builds a serialized story around the commodification of comfort, the absurdity of a subscription-style heaven, and the class divide between the wealthy uploaded and the workers who serve them. The tone is breezy and sardonic, with a bittersweet undercurrent of grief and longing. Fans of Black Mirror, The Good Place and Pushing Daisies will find resonance in its satirical edge and tender romantic core across four seasons.
