## Synopsis

Your Honor (2020-2023) is an American premium cable crime drama series created by Peter Moffat for Showtime. Bryan Cranston plays New Orleans judge Michael Desiato, a man of rigid legal principle whose world fractures when his son Adam (Hunter Doohan) is involved in a hit and run that tangles the family with an organized crime clan. Desiato's engine is simple and devastating: he wants to protect his child, but every step he takes to shield Adam drags him deeper into the underworld and tests the ethics he has built a career on. Carmen Ejogo, Hope Davis, Michael Stuhlbarg and Isiah Whitlock Jr. fill out a large circle of lawyers, relatives and criminals whose loyalties shift episode by episode. The show runs for two seasons of ten episodes each, forming one continuing serialized story rather than a case of the week. Set in present-day New Orleans, its atmosphere is humid, tense and bleak, with a steady dread that rises as secrets multiply. Its gritty texture and moral intensity appeal to viewers who admire the tangled legal and criminal pressure of Ozark, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and to anyone drawn to a father confronting the limits of his own convictions.
