## Synopsis

Well-Intended Love (2019-2020) is a Chinese romance drama series created by Chun Feng Yi Du for Sohu Video and Netflix. Struggling actress Xia Lin (Wang Shuang) needs a bone marrow transplant and wants to keep her acting career alive, so she enters a secret marriage with Ling Yizhou (Xu Kaicheng), the chief executive of a company. The engine of the show is their awkward arrangement, which must survive family pressure, rival suitors and the conspiracies and misunderstandings that surround the powerful CEO. Supporting roles, including Ian Yi as Chu Yan and Huang Qianshuo as Wen Li, add romantic complications and workplace rivalries. The story unfolds across two seasons and 36 episodes of roughly forty minutes each, moving as one continuing love story rather than standalone cases. Set in contemporary urban China among corporate offices, entertainment industry sets and glamorous homes, the series is a melodramatic, emotionally charged romance that foregrounds jealousy, obsession and tender moments. Fans of Meteor Garden, Mr. Queen and Hidden Love will find resonance in its rich man poor woman pairing, contract relationship and heightened romantic tension. Viewers who enjoy sweet, slow burning chemistry wrapped in melodrama will find plenty to savor across its long run.
