## Synopsis

Inside the Mossad (2017) is an Israeli documentary miniseries created by Duki Dror, Yossi Melman and Chen Shelach and broadcast on HOT8. Across four episodes of roughly fifty minutes each, former spy chiefs and field operatives sit for candid interviews, including Yossi Alpher, Ram Ben Barak, Gad Shimron, Uzi Arad, Avi Dagan and Rafi Eitan, all appearing as themselves. Rather than dramatizing events, the series builds its engine from testimony: each episode revisits the covert operations that gave Israel's foreign intelligence service its feared reputation, and asks what personal and operational challenges those missions demanded and what price the people who carried them out were forced to pay. The episodes move through archival material and the speakers' own recollections of targeted killings, terrorism, and the nuclear scientists and Nazi fugitives who were its targets. The tone is sober, reflective and occasionally unsettling, more concerned with conscience than triumph. Viewers drawn to serious political documentaries and inside accounts of state intelligence will find it resonant, in the company of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold and Hunt for the Unabomber. It is a single-season limited docuseries with a contemplative, morally weighted register throughout.
