## Synopsis

Possessed (2019) is a South Korean supernatural crime series created for OCN, a cable network known for genre-bending thrillers. Reluctant clairvoyant Hong Seo-Jung (Go Joon-hee) joins forces with brusque police detective Kang Pil-Sung (Song Sae-byuk), a man who hides a soft heart beneath a gruff exterior. Together they take on criminal cases that stall in ordinary police work, and Seo-Jung's psychic visions become the engine of each investigation, pulling the pair into dangerous and personal territory. Detective Squad Chief Yoo (Lee Won-jong) and the wider police department provide the institutional pressure around them. The sixteen-episode run is a single serialized arc in which each case builds toward a larger mystery, and the tension rests on the wary, growing bond between the two leads. Set in contemporary Seoul, the series plays out in police offices, interrogation rooms and dim city streets, with an atmosphere that is suspenseful, eerie and often cruel. Its mix of detective work, shamanistic supernatural elements and slow-building romance will appeal to viewers who enjoy the psychic crime of The Mentalist, the spiritual unease of Medium, and the dark, romantic edge of Korean crime thrillers.
