## Synopsis

A Love Story (2013) is a Turkish melodrama soap opera series created by Özer Erten for FOX. Korkut Ali (Seçkin Özdemir), a young man raised in Germany after being abandoned as a child, survives a shooting at a wedding with a bullet lodged in his head and a short time left to live. He travels to Istanbul to find his birth parents and learns that his mother is the famous singer Gönül Karanli (Zuhal Olcay) and that his half brother Tolga (Yamaç Telli) is a successful pop star. Ceylan German (Damla Sönmez), a naive fashion designer who works for Tolga and loves him, becomes entangled in the family's secrets and in Korkut's bitterness. The engine of the story is Korkut's conflict between wanting peace in the time he has left and a burning desire for revenge against the family that abandoned him. Told across a single season of thirty-six episodes, the series moves through romantic misunderstandings, rivalries, and family confrontations. Its tone is emotional and dramatic, with heightened romance and a melancholic undercurrent. Fans of Kara Sevda, Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? and Ezel will find resonance in its blend of Istanbul glamour, hidden parentage, and passionate heartbreak.
