## Synopsis

Why Women Kill (2019-2021) is an American crime drama series created by Marc Cherry for CBS All Access. Ginnifer Goodwin plays Beth Ann Stanton, a housewife in the 1960s, while Lucy Liu plays Simone Grove, a socialite in the 1980s, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste plays Taylor Harding, a lawyer in the present day. Each woman faces infidelity within her marriage, and the spiral of lies and cover-ups she builds to protect herself pulls her deeper into trouble. Allison Tolman, Lana Parrilla, Nick Frost and Reid Scott round out a large ensemble whose stories echo and collide across the decades. The series runs across two seasons of ten episodes each, and its parallel storylines are built around jealousy, domestic deception and the cost of keeping secrets. Its glossy, suspenseful register borrows the soapy intensity of Desperate Housewives and the decade-spanning domestic dread of Big Little Lies. Fans of dark soapy melodrama will find its mix of period styling and modern legal tension compelling viewing, with every era bringing new betrayals to the surface.
