## Synopsis

The Helpful Fox Senko-san (2019) is a Japanese animated slice of life comedy series produced by Doga Kobo and based on a manga, with a single 12-episode season of roughly 24 minutes each. Its protagonist is Kuroto Nakano, a stressed salaryman voiced by Junichi Suwabe, whose exhausted routine is interrupted when Senko, a fox spirit voiced by Azumi Waki, appears in his home determined to take his stress away. Principal supporting voices include Ayane Sakura as Yasuko Kouenji, Maaya Uchida as Shiro, and Eri Kitamura as Yozora. The engine of the show is simple and domestic: each episode is built around everyday tasks such as cooking meals, tidying rooms and finding small ways to care for a tired office worker, with gentle misunderstandings and quiet affection filling the gaps between chores. The story unfolds in a contemporary Japanese apartment and workplace, giving the supernatural premise a grounded, ordinary backdrop. The tone is warm, soothing and breezy, leaning into healing comfort rather than high stakes, and the lighthearted supernatural romance will appeal to viewers who enjoy the cozy atmosphere of Kamisama Kiss and Non Non Biyori. Fans of relaxed anime romance will find its tender, low-pressure rhythm especially restorative.
