## Synopsis

Ao-chan Can't Study! is a Japanese animated ecchi romantic comedy adapted from a manga and produced by Silver Link. Its protagonist, Ao Horie, is a determined high school student focused on earning a place at a prestigious university and escaping the reputation of her father, an erotic fiction author. Her carefully planned routine collapses when her handsome classmate Takumi Kijima confesses his feelings, and she finds herself unable to stop having lustful thoughts about him. Each short episode runs on Ao's constant self-sabotage, as study sessions, school routines and friendships keep being hijacked by absurd, sexually suggestive fantasies rendered in bright, surreal interludes. The series is breezy, cheeky and absurdist, with a teen comedy warmth that keeps the mood light and self-contained. Its single season has a quick, episodic rhythm that suits casual viewing. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko will find a similar mix of romantic tension and shameless comic exaggeration.
