## Synopsis

Delhi Crime (2019-2025) is an Indian crime drama series created by Richie Mehta for Netflix. Shefali Shah plays Vartika Chaturvedi, a senior Delhi police officer who leads her squad through the city's most harrowing cases, while Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh, Adil Hussain as Kumar Vijay and Rajesh Tailang as Bhupendra Singh carry the investigation alongside her. The engine of the show is the grinding labor of an overstretched force: long nights in cramped offices, witness interviews, political pressure from above, and the slow work of building a case that will survive a hostile courtroom. Each season centers on a single high-profile crime drawn from real and fictional events, so the three seasons form a serialized run of intense, character-driven investigations rather than a case-of-the-week format. The series is set in contemporary Delhi, a sprawling city of crowded streets, bureaucratic corridors and tense police stations. Its tone is sombre and horrified, with moments of exhaustion and quiet resolve, and its themes centre on institutional failure, justice and the toll of violence on those who investigate it. Fans of Unbelievable and The Night Of will find resonance in its unflinching procedural realism and its focus on determined investigators confronting a system that resists them.
