## Synopsis

Her Private Life (2019) is a South Korean romantic comedy series created by Kim Hye-young and Hong Jong-chan for tvN, adapted from a novel. Park Min-young plays Sung Deok-mi, a poised art curator whose private life as a devoted K-pop fan threatens to unravel when her gallery's new director, Ryan Gold (Kim Jae-uck), arrives. Her efforts to keep her fandom secret from him drive a steady stream of awkward misunderstandings, improvised cover stories and pretend-relationship complications, with Ahn Bo-hyun and One rounding out the central cast of colleagues and romantic rivals. The series unfolds as a single sixteen-episode run of roughly seventy-minute chapters, each built around gallery politics, office rivalries and the escalating cost of a double life. Set in contemporary Seoul, it balances the glossy surfaces of the art world against the messy, giddy emotional life of a devoted fan. Its tone is warm, witty and cringe-tinged, mixing sincere romance with sharp observational humor about fan culture. Fans of My Love from the Star, Crash Landing on You and Hotel Del Luna will find similar charm in its blend of fantasy-adjacent escapism and grounded workplace romance.
