## Synopsis

If I Hadn't Met You (2018) is a Catalan-language Spanish science fiction drama miniseries aired on TV3, created for Spanish television and running ten episodes of roughly fifty minutes each. Pablo Derqui plays Eduard, a husband and father whose family is torn apart by a tragic accident, and he is driven to slip between parallel universes to win a better fate for his beloved wife Elisa, played by Andrea Ros. Around them orbit Javier Beltrán as Òscar, Montse Guallar as Maria, and Mercedes Sampietro as Liz Everest, whose lives shift subtly from one reality to the next. The engine of the story is Eduard's repeated attempts to rewrite a single catastrophe, and each episode peels back another version of the household to test what can be changed and what must be lost. Told as one continuing story in a single miniseries arc, it unfolds in present-day Spain and rewards close attention. The mood is melancholic and tense, with grief and longing carried through intimate family scenes and a mystery that tightens as the versions multiply. Fans of Dark, Counterpart and The Leftovers will find resonance in its blend of emotional drama, speculative premise and bereavement at its core.
