## Synopsis

You vs. Wild (2019) is an American interactive survival series created by Bear Grylls for Netflix. Bear Grylls plays himself, the host and survival expert whose missions unfold across some of the harshest environments on Earth. Instead of simply watching, viewers make the key decisions that determine how he survives, thrives, and completes each mission, so the engine of every episode is a run of choices made at forks in the trail: which route to take, how to shelter, how to handle wildlife, and how to pursue the objective before conditions turn. The format is a single short season of eight twenty-minute episodes, a reality-adventure format rather than a scripted drama, with each episode built around a discrete mission rather than one continuing storyline. The tone is upbeat and tense, pairing practical outdoor instruction with the pressure of unpredictable terrain, and the mood stays energetic and accessible. Fans of Man vs. Wild and Bear Grylls's other outdoor programs will find the same blend of survival know-how and adventure, with the added pull of a choose-your-path structure similar in spirit to Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. It suits family viewing and casual adventure fans alike.
