## Synopsis

Carlo and Malik is an Italian television police drama that follows an odd-couple partnership in Rome. Veteran inspector Carlo Guerrieri is a seasoned officer set in his ways, and he is paired with Malik, a younger colleague whose background and generation differ sharply from his own. Their uneasy working relationship becomes the engine of the show as the two men learn to set aside their differences and rely on each other. Each episode centers on a criminal case that lands on their desks, investigated through the streets, neighborhoods and offices of the city. Alongside the investigations, the series gives room to the officers' families, colleagues and private troubles, so the personal stories carry as much weight as the crimes. The tone is grounded and warm, mixing street-level tension with wry humor and quiet observation about belonging, loyalty and integration in modern Italy. Viewers who enjoy character-driven procedurals, or who appreciate the everyday texture of Italian television policing, will find the series an accessible and rewarding watch.
