## Synopsis

O Maidens in Your Savage Season (2019) is a Japanese animated slice of life series produced in anime tradition, with a single twelve-episode season broadcast on MBS and TBS. Voiced by Hiyori Kono as Kazusa Onodera, Chika Anzai as Niina Sugawara, Momo Asakura as Momoko Sudou and Tomoyo Kurosawa as Hitoha Hongou, the story follows a group of girls in a high school literature club whose icebreaker game turns explosive when one of them blurts out a single provocative word. Each girl carries a different background and temperament, and the episodes move through the clumsy, funny and painful moments that push them toward adulthood. The engine is the everyday weight of wanting something you cannot yet name: crushes that misfire, friendships that strain under jealousy, and confessions that arrive at the wrong moment. Episodes are self-contained vignettes built around school life, club meetings and the small social battles of adolescence, with a serialized thread tying the group together across the season. The tone is candid yet tender, mixing bawdy comic beats with quiet emotional honesty. Fans of Sweet Blue Flowers, Wandering Son and Bloom Into You will find the same frank, affectionate look at growing up among girls.
