## Synopsis

Demon Lord, Retry! (2019-2024) is a Japanese isekai anime series broadcast on TOKYO MX and adapted from a light novel. Akira Oono, a gamer, awakens in the body of his online character, the Demon Lord Hakuto Kunai, voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda, and must navigate an unfamiliar fantasy world full of saints, demons and loyal companions. Principal voices include Kanon Takao as Aku, Aki Toyosaki as Angel White, Haruka Tomatsu as Killer Queen, Kaori Ishihara as Luna Elegant and Suzuna Kinoshita as Tron. Across two seasons and twenty-four episodes, the engine is simple and episodic in spirit: Hakuto leans on the game mechanics and abilities he once knew to plot his course, and each episode builds around encounters that test his power and his companions' loyalty. The show is produced in a bright, action-forward register, with comedic beats cutting against the gamer's cocky confidence. Its mood is playful and breezy, a shounen power fantasy with a lighter touch than darker isekai entries. Fans of Overlord, KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! and Sword Art Online will find a familiar appeal in its virtual-world premise and overpowered hero.
