## Synopsis

Prehistoric Park (2006) is a British science fiction family adventure series created by Nigel Marven and broadcast on ITV1. Wildlife presenter Nigel Marven, who also plays himself, uses a time portal to step back into the past on a quest to rescue long lost prehistoric creatures and bring them to safety. Narration by David Jason frames the expeditions, while park staff including vet Suzanne McNabb and keeper Bob Arthur help manage the animals once they arrive. Each episode is a self-contained mission built around a specific creature, such as a tyrannosaurus rex or a saber-toothed tiger, with the practical challenges of capture, transport and care driving the action. The show is a single six-episode season of 48-minute installments, and its tone is brisk, wholesome and curious, mixing educational wildlife facts with light peril and a sense of discovery. Its setting moves between the modern day and prehistoric landscapes, giving the tale an adventurous, Earth-based scale. Fans of Walking with Dinosaurs, Primeval and Terra Nova will find a similar blend of natural history, time travel and family adventure.
