## Synopsis

All the Sins (2019-2023) is a Finnish crime drama series created by Mika Ronkainen and Merja Aakko. Johannes Holopainen plays investigator Lauri Räihä, who works alongside Maria Sid as Sanna Tervo and Matti Ristinen as Jussi Ritola as they pursue cold-blooded murders in the fictional Laestadian community of Varjakka. The engine of the series is the slow, stubborn work of uncovering who did what in a tight-knit religious village where confession, shame and communal silence shape every answer. Across three seasons and eighteen episodes of roughly forty-four minutes each, the story stays a single continuing investigation rather than a case-of-the-week format, moving across roughly three decades of guilt. The setting is rural Finland, where the faith of the village weighs heavily on everyone involved. The tone is sombre and contemplative, with an atmosphere of quiet dread and moral weight. Fans of Trapped, Fortitude and Broadchurch will find resonance in its patient, character driven crime storytelling and its interest in how a community absorbs violence.
