## Synopsis

Foodie Love (2019) is a Spanish romantic comedy series created by Isabel Coixet for HBO España. Laia Costa plays Ella and Guillermo Pfening plays Él, two thirty-somethings who meet through a food lover app and begin dating despite lingering emotional scars from past relationships. Across eight half-hour episodes, each structured around a new date, the pair explore where their tastes overlap, from restaurant meals to home kitchens, while testing whether their passion for gastronomy and shared scorn for foodie pretension can grow into something lasting. The engine is simple and intimate: two people wary of being hurt, learning each other through shared plates and awkward conversations. The tone is warm, wry and wistful, with a grounded contemporary Spanish setting and an emphasis on conversation, appetite and small gestures. Fans of Normal People, Love Life and Chef's Table will find resonance in its blend of character-driven romance and culinary sensibility. It is a single compact season that rewards an easy, attentive evening watch.
