## Synopsis

Dark Side of the Ring (2019-present) is an American investigative documentary docuseries created by Jason Eisener and Evan Husney for Viceland. Narrated by voice actors Christopher Irvine and Mick Foley, with Wayne Keown also voicing episodes, the series returns to wrestling's most troubling stories, from the storylines and promotions that shaped the business to the people who were hurt along the way. Each episode is built around a single dark chapter, combining archival matches and promotional footage with interviews from wrestlers, promoters, and witnesses who speak candidly about what happened behind the curtain. The engine of the series is the tension between the spectacle audiences believed and the real lives beneath it, with each installment peeling back a layer of carefully managed fiction. Across seven seasons and roughly sixty-nine episodes, the tone stays sober, investigative, and occasionally angry, with a gritty, grounded texture. Fans of Beyond the Mat, Fyre, and Making a Murderer will find resonance in its blend of insider testimony, exposé momentum, and unflinching attention to harm hidden inside a theatrical industry.
