## Synopsis

Your Turn to Kill (2019) is a Japanese mystery thriller series broadcast on Nippon TV. Newlyweds Nana Tezuka (Tomoyo Harada) and her younger husband Shota Tezuka (Kei Tanaka), who is fifteen years her junior, move into a Tokyo apartment building and attend its residents' meeting. Both enjoy mysteries, and they soon find themselves drawn into a string of murders among the neighbors. Sawa Kuroshima (Nanase Nishino), Sanae Enomoto (Tae Kimura) and Junichiro Tamiya (Katsuhisa Namase) are among the residents whose secrets surface as the couple digs deeper. The engine of the show is the hunt for a killer in a closed community where several people have motives, yet each suspect holds a solid alibi, so no arrest can be made. Each stretch of the single season builds tension through paired investigation, shifting suspicion and domestic routine turned sinister. Its story runs as one continuing arc across twenty episodes, a single-season serialized puzzle rather than a case-of-the-week format. The register is tense and paranoid, with a playful puzzle-solving energy at its heart. Fans of Lost, Alice in Borderland and Desperate Housewives will find resonance in its blend of ensemble suspicion and twisty reveals.
