## Synopsis

The Pentaverate (2022) is a American comedy miniseries created by Mike Myers for Netflix. Across six episodes of roughly half an hour each, it is a single-season, self-contained spoof built around a secret society that has quietly shaped global events for centuries and now faces a threat from within. A Canadian reporter is drawn into the group's crisis, and the story moves through a string of absurd set pieces, crude gags and sight-gag escapades rather than a tightly plotted thriller. Mike Myers leads the cast, playing multiple characters, alongside Ken Jeong as Skip Cho and Keegan-Michael Key as Dr. Hobart Clark, with Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders and Lydia West in supporting roles. The engine is a reporter trying to uncover what the powerful men are hiding while the cabal bumbles toward disaster, and each episode is built from escalating silliness and cameo-laden comic bits. The tone is breezy, irreverent and deliberately lowbrow, with a playful wink at conspiracy thrillers. Fans of Austin Powers and absurdist spoof comedy will find the same mix of parody and goofy self-indulgence here, and the show rewards viewers who enjoy broad, unapologetic humor.
