## Synopsis

Crime Diaries: Night Out (2019) is a Colombian true crime miniseries created by Pablo Gonzalez and C.S. Prince for Netflix. Across eight episodes of roughly 44 minutes each, it follows college student Luis Andrés Colmenares (Sebastián Osorio), whose body is found after a Halloween party, and the family who refuse to accept the official account. Luis's parents, Oneida Escobar de Colmenares (Fabiana Medina) and Alonso Colmenares (Carlos G. Vergara Montiel), press for answers as the questions multiply: was it an accident or a murder? Friends and acquaintances, including Laura Moreno (Laura Osma) and Jessy Quintero (Juliana Velásquez), are pulled into the uncertainty, while prosecutor Fiscal González (Enrique Carriazo) stands at the center of the case. The engine is a gradual unpeeling of the night's events, told through interviews, shifting timelines and the grind of a stalled investigation. The tone is sober, grieving and quietly angry, with a steady undercurrent of social justice. It is a limited Latin American true crime drama based on a novel and real events. Fans of Making a Murderer, Narcos and When They See Us will find resonance here.
