## Synopsis

City of Dreams is an Indian political drama set in contemporary Mumbai, where the aftermath of an assassination attempt on the city's most powerful politician throws his family into a bitter contest for control of its political empire. Power is the currency here, and every alliance, betrayal and backroom deal carries the cold weight of a family business run on ambition. The show moves between government offices, party headquarters and the crowded streets of the city, following rivals who each believe they are the rightful heir. Its tone is tense, gritty and morally murky, with a brisk pace that keeps escalating stakes in view. Choices that begin as defensible slide steadily toward the immoral, and viewers are invited to question who deserves loyalty when ambition is the family's true inheritance. Told as a continuing serialized story across several seasons, it rewards sustained attention to shifting factions, hidden motives and the constant pressure of public life. Fans of House of Cards, Sacred Games and The Godfather Part II will recognise its appetite for dynastic rivalry, corruption and the price of power, delivered with a serious, uncompromising intensity that rarely offers comfort.
