## Synopsis

Kota Factory (2019-present) is an Indian Hindi-language comedy drama series created by Saurabh Khanna, Arunabh Kumar and Raghav Subbu for Netflix, with episodes also released through YouTube and TVFPlay. It follows an earnest but unexceptional student and his circle of friends as they live inside the coaching-center economy of a city built around preparing India's brightest for its most punishing collegiate entrance exams. Jitendra Kumar plays Jeetu Bhaiya, a figure who anchors the group's daily routines, while Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsaas Channa and Revathi Pillai fill out the ensemble of hostel mates and classmates. The engine of the show is the ordinary grind: crammed study halls, mess-hall gossip, romantic misfires, parental phone calls and the constant ticking clock of mock tests. Across three seasons of roughly five episodes each, the story moves forward as one continuing arc rather than a case of the week. The tone is affectionate and sharply observational, mixing wry humor with a quiet undercurrent of anxiety and friendship under pressure. Its look is grounded and unfussy, with the bustle of a provincial Indian city as the backdrop. Fans of The Office (US), Community and Panchayat will find resonance in its blend of cringe-tinged comedy and sincere affection for its characters.
