## Synopsis

9-1-1: Lone Star (2020-2025) is an American broadcast drama series created by Brad Falchuk, Tim Minear and Ryan Murphy for FOX. Rob Lowe plays Owen Strand, a New York firefighter who survived the 9/11 attacks as the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse and then relocates to Austin, Texas with his troubled son Tyler Kennedy 'T.K.' Strand (Ronen Rubinstein). Gina Torres plays Tommy Vega, a fellow firefighter who anchors the Austin station, while Natacha Karam and Brian Michael Smith round out a firehouse ensemble. The engine of the series is the daily grind of a rescue crew: car wrecks, structure fires, floods and medical emergencies, each episode built around a call that tests the team while personal matters simmer in the background. Across five seasons and seventy-two episodes, it runs as a serialized emergency drama with a case-of-the-week spine and a continuing story of rebuilding lives after tragedy. Set in present-day Texas, it blends big-city swagger with small-town warmth. The tone is earnest, hopeful and occasionally harrowing, with a steady undercurrent of grief and resilience. Fans of 9-1-1, Chicago Fire and Station 19 will find resonance in its ensemble heroics and found-family bonds.
