## Synopsis

Primal (2019-present) is an American adult animated action series created by Genndy Tartakovsky and aired on Adult Swim, running three seasons and thirty episodes so far. The story follows a caveman who forms an unlikely partnership with a dinosaur as the two struggle to stay alive in a hostile prehistoric world. Each episode is built from concrete survival beats: hunting, escaping predators, and fighting for food and shelter, with dialogue kept sparse so the physical action and the growing trust between man and beast carry the emotional weight. The atmosphere is harsh and visceral, mixing moments of raw brutality with a quiet, mournful tenderness and an undercurrent of primal fear. Set in a mythic prehistoric landscape where magic creeps into the natural world, the series plays like a wordless survival epic. Fans of Samurai Jack, The Croods and Castlevania will find the same stylized brutality and bold animated craft here.
