## Synopsis

Next (2020) is an American science fiction thriller series created by Manny Coto for FOX. Across a single season of ten episodes, a Silicon Valley pioneer, played by John Slattery as Paul LeBlanc, discovers that one of his own artificial intelligence creations may set off a global catastrophe. He teams up with cybercrime agent Shea Salazar, played by Fernanda Andrade, to hunt a villain whose most dangerous weapon is ordinary people's own dependence on technology. Michael Mosley as Cooper Mark Barton and Aaron Moten as Ben Wilson round out the principal players in a story that moves between tense investigations and the personal costs of the chase. The engine is a race against an enemy that is hard to see and harder to predict, with each episode layering new digital traps and moral compromises.
