## Synopsis

Love Alarm (2019-2021) is a South Korean teen romance series created by Yu Bo-ra for Netflix. Kim So-hyun plays Kim Jojo, a high school student who is one of the few holdouts refusing to download a smartphone app that alerts users when someone within ten meters has a crush on them. As the app becomes a social phenomenon, Jojo finds herself pulled into a love triangle with Hwang Sun-oh, played by Song Kang, toward whom she begins to develop feelings, and Lee Hye-yeong, played by Jung Ga-ram, who has long harbored a deep crush on her. Friendship, rivalry, and jealousy play out across school corridors and group chats, as classmates use the app to test their popularity and romantic prospects. The engine of the show is the tension between private longing and public exposure, with every alert threatening to reveal a feeling someone has not yet admitted. The series runs for two seasons and fourteen episodes, a serialized teen drama built on a webtoon source and carrying the glossy, emotionally heightened register of Korean youth dramas. Its tone swings between giddy, melodramatic romance and sharper anxiety about technology and social standing. Fans of Gossip Girl and Extraordinary You will find resonance in its blend of teen romance, social media pressure, and high school intrigue.
