## Synopsis

General Naranjo (2019-2020) is a Colombian crime drama series created by Anita de Hoyos for Fox Premium Series. Christian Meier plays Óscar Naranjo, the police officer who leads the fight to restore order, with Juliana Galvis as Claudia Luque and Federico Rivera as Pablo Escobar anchoring the story. Its engine is the grinding pursuit of traffickers and armed groups, where every operation runs into corruption, betrayal and the shifting alliances of cartels, paramilitaries and guerrilla forces. Spread across three seasons and sixty episodes, it is a serialized saga that follows investigations and manhunts over many years rather than standalone cases. The show is set in recent decades of Colombia, moving through the violent rise of the drug trade and the country's wider armed conflict. Its tone is gritty, tense and sober, with a heavy sense of cost and moral compromise. Viewers who enjoy Narcos, Escobar: Paradise Lost and Sicario will find resonance in its portrait of the state battling narcotics violence from the inside.
