## Synopsis

Strangers from Hell (2019) is a South Korean crime thriller series created by Kim Yong-ki for OCN. Yim Si-wan plays Yoon Jong-woo, an aspiring crime fiction writer whose quiet life collapses after he moves into an apartment building crowded with shady neighbors. Lee Dong-wook appears as Seo Moon-jo, and the ensemble includes Lee Hyun-wook, Park Jong-hwan, Ro Jong-hyun and Lee Jung-eun, all drawn into a web of kidnappings, murders and hidden agendas. The engine of the show is the protagonist's effort to understand who in the building can be trusted while unsettling events keep escalating around him. Each episode layers suspicion, violence and psychological manipulation, with a tightly constructed mystery that rewards close attention. The ten-episode run is one continuing story rather than a case of the week, moving at a tense pace inside a single claustrophobic location. Set in contemporary South Korea, the series is dark, paranoid and often harrowing, with a cold atmosphere of dread that builds steadily. Fans of Alice in Borderland, Hellbound and Mr. Sunshine will find resonance in its blend of Korean crime storytelling, moral ambiguity and unnerving suspense.
